What would you like to know about me?

I was born in northern Maryland (Caroll County) and raised by Richard and Dorothy Koster. I have two older brothers, Jason (a videographer, video editor and soon to be geologist) and David (a photographer). I attended North Carroll High School and then went on to obtain my Associate's Degree in General Studies at Caroll Community College. After over a decade, I decided to go back to college again and enrolled in Westwood College (don't recommend them!) and then transferred to the Art Institute Online to get a more specialized Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design. I graduated in February/March 2009 and am the first in my family to get a 4-year degree! Woo-hoo!

 

In my career I've been a bus girl, fast food server, deli worker, Taco Bell employee, and have done so many temp jobs typing, organizing databases, entering data or being a receptionist that I've lost track of it all. I have been a photo restorationist and production artist at Ritz Camera and I was Advertising Manager for Hudson Trail Outiftters for 5 long, but interesting years. I have also been a senior designer, freelance artist, and temporary graphic designer. If you ask nicely, I'll point you to my latest work. I'm not sure what is next for me, but whatever it is, I look forward to finding it. Right now, if you have freelance work you need done, please send it my way!

 

In the meantime, I can at least say I have some published photography in both Hudson Trail's brochures as well as Lotus International Magazine. Pretty cool. :) I also recently won a photo contest with a local Pet Gazette publication and donated my winnings to the Humane Society of Westminster to feed some hungry pups and cats in my dog's name (rest his soul).
